one of the plausible solutions for trapping green houses by not letting them into the atmosphere is Carbon sequestration.

OCEAN: Ocean has a tremendous potential to store carbondioxide gas in dissolved form. So, CO2 from the industries and power plants can be piped into deep ocean and can be stored in the dissolved form for a very long time. But the impact it has on the under water living beings is still unknown.

COAL BED: Natural gas can be extracted from the deep underground coal beds by injecting CO2. The injected CO2 takes the place of the methane gas in the coal beds and thus pushing the natural gas out of the bed.

OIL RESERVOIRS: Oil extraction can be eased by injecting CO2 into the oil reservoirs, which helps in maintaining a constant pressure in the reservoir thus decreasing the energy demand for oil extraction.

GROUND WATER AQUIFERS:
CO2 can be injected into the deep underground aquifers and can be stored in the dissolved form safely.
